Stratton Wellington Institute LLC (the Institute, we, us) is an Indiana limited liability company providing self-paced AI professional education. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our programs, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to both our English-language site (Stratton Wellington Institute) and our Spanish-language brand (Instituto Stratton Wellington).

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or billing addresses. Those are collected and processed exclusively by Paddle, our Merchant of Record (see Section 5).
3. How We Use Your Information

- To verify credentials when you, an employer, a university, or a professional body requests verification
- To respond to questions sent to our contact addresses

4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal data to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- We do not send marketing emails you did not ask for
- We do not store payment card details
- We do not publish credential holder information; verification requires the certificate holder's name and program code from the requesting party
5. Third-Party Services
Paddle (Merchant of Record)
Purchases on this website are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. or its affiliates. Paddle collects the information needed to complete your transaction, including your payment details, and handles applicable sales tax and VAT. Paddle's handling of your payment information is governed by Paddle's own privacy policy, available at paddle.com. The Institute receives your name, email address, and order details from Paddle to fulfill your purchase; we never receive your card details.
Netlify (Website Hosting)
This website is hosted on Netlify, which may process standard technical logs such as IP addresses as part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse.
Anthropic (Luma Learning Assistant)
Luma, our on-site learning assistant, is powered by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic. Messages you send to Luma are processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses. See Section 6.
Email Services
Email sent to our contact addresses is processed by our email provider as necessary to deliver and store correspondence.
6. The Luma Learning Assistant
Luma is available on this website to answer questions about SWI programs in English and Spanish. When you chat with Luma:
- Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses
- Conversation memory lasts only for your current session; closing the widget or leaving the site ends the conversation
- We do not link Luma conversations to your identity or purchase records
- Do not share sensitive personal information, payment details, or confidential organizational data in the chat
7. Cookies and Website Data
This website is a static site and does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The Paddle checkout may use cookies strictly necessary to process your transaction securely, governed by Paddle's own policy. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.
8. SA and International Regulatory Compliance
Our data practices are designed to comply with applicable data protection requirements in the markets we serve, including:

- Brazil: LGPD, Law 13.709/2018
- Chile: Law 19.628

9. Your Rights
You may request at any time:
- Access: a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: correction of inaccurate data, including the name on an issued certificate
- Deletion: deletion of your personal data, except records we are legally required to retain (such as tax and transaction records) and credential records you ask us to keep for verification
- Objection: objection to any processing you believe is improper
To exercise any of these rights, email info@strattonwellington.com from the address associated with your records. We respond to all requests within 30 days. Note that deleting your credential records means we will no longer be able to verify your certificate for employers or institutions.
10. Data Retention
- Purchase and transaction records: retained as required by US tax and business law
- Credential records: retained indefinitely so your certificate remains verifiable throughout your career, unless you request deletion
- Capstone submissions: retained for grading and audit purposes; deletion available on request after credential issuance
- Correspondence: retained as long as needed to support you
11. International Transfers
The Institute operates from the United States. If you purchase from outside the US, your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We apply the protections described in this policy to all personal data regardless of the country it originates from.
12. Children's Privacy
SWI programs are professional education products intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Family-oriented programs such as SW-FAMILIA are purchased and administered by adults.
13. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the website or Program Materials after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
